Authentic stories from people who have put their trust in us.

"I'd forgotten how varied and delicious the food here is. For me, it packs a spicy punch that is not overpowering but is just enough. I didn't get a chance to try a new dish like snake, rat or bat but it only adds to the list of reasons to return to this land. The local people are charming, polite, unflinchingly generous, thoughtful and some of the most respectful people I have met anywhere. This is and always has been the overriding quality I have met throughout my numerous trips in Indonesia."

"We visited the gold mine factory which was fascinating and almost preindustrial. We the visited the Tangkoko Rainforest Reserve. The tiny monkeys were amazing! The second day we visited the Tomohon local market. This was very colourful with all the fresh fruit and vegetables. The meat area was a bit scary with some very different produce on sale to what we are used to seeing. We also visited the new cultural center and saw the megalithic graves. This was a very impressive project and will be of great benefit to the local community when completed."

– Charlie Bird, England –

"What a lovely day! Flower Gardens at the Gardenia – a feast for the eyes and the tummy! Flowers everywhere we drove. A marvelous market. Great fun taking people’s picture – especially the children. Views, vistas, farms."

"It has been so interesting to see another side of North Sulawesi away from the coast. The countryside is stunning, from the impressive volcanos, lush hillsides of vegetables, paddy fields and lakes. And all brought to life by a wonderfully informative and friendly guide."

– Justin Tate, (South Hamton) England –

"Minahasa has such breathtaking nature and view. I especially enjoyed the trekking on Mahawu. Only I wish I could stay longer when we are on the top. Surely I‘d go back there someday to watch the sunrise all through the sunset. The food is superb! The best grilled fish ever. And the sambal! I left a piece of my heart already among the slices of chilies for sure. The people are surprisingly warm and friendly. Never have I seen people greet each other in the streets like ants! It’s just great!" - Chika, Jakarta, Indonesia -

"North Sulawesi is a wonderful country with many things to see and to discover. We were acting as travelers and not tourists and what we saw will remain in our memories for a long time. People, culture are amazing in this part of the world. We never thought to find a such kindness from the local people. We were welcome everywhere we went and each time people welcome us we did not speak their language. Finally, I think that North Sulawesi has a lot to teach to the occidental world this is not the third world but really a first place to learn how to live together."

– Amar Guillen, USA –

"Wonderful time travelling around the highlands of Minahasa, learning many new things and seeing some beautiful places like Lake Linow and Lake Tondano. Also to see the innovation that are happening for example Masarang Crystal Sugar Factory using the waste steam from the electrical plants to produce the sugar in an environmental and friendly way. Seeing the timber house of Minahasa being constructed and pottery of the area both traditional style and new styles. Finally a visit to the hottest natural springs I’ve been to when travelling."

– Inga Fern, England –

"Superbe circuit diversifié avec des sites très typiques: les villages pittoresques de maisons en bois de fabrication traditionelle dans une nature très verdoyante allant de la rizière aux forêts tropicales qui montent à l’assaut des volcans environnants. De très nombreuses sources chaudes et vapeurs sulfureuse témoignent de l’activité géothermique omniprésente. Une belle balade dépaysante."

– Annie & Alain Medina, (Versoud) France –

– Mike Bessel, UK –

"Il était important de visiter le pays du nord pour complèter la visite de Sulawesi. À chaque région sa beauté et sa spécifité, ici la vue des volcans, les paysage maraîchers en gradieux, les maisons sur pilotis en cocotier, les lacs aux eaux sulfureuses. Grâce à notre guide, nous avons pu apprécier la cuisine traditionnelle si raffinée, découvrir les visages sourriants des ses habitants."

"Minahasa, particulary the City of Tomohon, really the place and tourism destination for flowers and students and soon will be a town based on culture. The people are friendly, kind, familiar and very open for other visitors (people). Tomohon has many objects of destination or places to visit like music, traditional dances, panorama, lakes, agriculture and holticultural. I think Tomohon in the moment as a sleeping giant and soon will wake up to be the most tourism place through out Sulawesi or Indonesia."
